Whether you’re interested in casually exploring new opportunities, eagerly reviewing job descriptions for your next position or thinking about internships or “returnships” after a career break, MassTLC member companies are eager to meet you at our Virtual Career Fair next Tuesday, March 2nd, from 3:00 – 5:30 p.m.

To make your time at the Virtual Career Fair as productive as possible, follow these tips and be ready to connect with the opportunity of your dreams:
- Research the employers you’ll meet at the MassTLC Career Fair. We’ve provided a list of companies and links to their Career pages in this post, and we recommend that you also take a look at the MassTLC Job Board where many of the open roles are posted.
- Prepare talking points and a short introduction of yourself – background, interests, career goals – in both a written and a short, prepared verbal delivery. This Career Fair has both text style chats and the opportunity for video conversations, and you can prepare for both by 1) typing out your thoughts so they can be quickly copied into the chat box as you greet a new recruiter and 2) by practicing with a friend or in a mirror.
- Meeting recruiters and clicking in and out of virtual booths is likely to be fun and fast paced. Set up your space with your computer and plan to be focused during the Career Fair. Try to limit distractions and interruptions as much as possible. Be patient and flexible with yourself and the technology.
- Be authentic. We recommend business casual dress, but that’s just a guideline. Be yourself. Ask questions. You won’t be in person, but you’ll feel great and make a strong first impression if you feel confident, polished, and prepared.
- Follow up after the Career Fair too. You can keep the momentum going with recruiters you met or even introduce yourself to some you didn’t, so don’t forget this important step and keep the communication flowing even after the Career Fair has ended.
