Steve O’LearyManaging Director, Aeris PartnersSteve brings more than 25 years of technology M&A and venture capital experience to Aeris Partners. He has substantial experience working with application and infrastructure software, analytical software, business information and digital media companies. He has extensive experience advising public companies on domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, including special committee advisory and going-private transactions. He also serves as a trustee and member of the executive committee of the Mass Technology Leadership Council and served as Chairman in 2009 and 2010. Before Aeris Partners, Steve served as Senior Managing Director, Co-Head of Technology Investment Banking and head of the Boston (Waltham) office of Broadview International (later Jefferies Broadview). During his 19-year tenure with Broadview he also served on the Board of Directors of Broadview International and its affiliate venture capital fund, Kennet Partners. Immediately prior to Aeris Partners, he served as an entrepreneur in residence at General Catalyst Partners. Earlier in his career he was a venture capitalist at BancBoston Ventures and served as a United States Navy lieutenant on board fast-attack nuclear submarines. Steve received an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Mathematics (with Distinction) from the U.S. Naval Academy. Steve has run several marathons, including the 2009 Boston Marathon.
